Just got back from Japan. Man that’s a bizarre place… I think I was a little to self confident when i went there. i figured that since I lived in China, japan would be a breeze. The problems started when I got stepped out of the airport and went to the train tracks. I couldn’t speak, and I could read about 5 percent of the written language that happened to be in chinese charecters.

So I manage to find my way to the ticket office after staring at the map for awhile and looking at the incomprehensible vending machines. Luckily one of the people t the office spoke a little bit of english, (the general english level in japan sucks, since they have been emphasising it in the schools since the 50’s I would say it is more pathetic than chinese english). So I get my ticket, go to wait for the train, I’m watching it on the screen, but then it disappears, Luckily I find a girl who cleans the trians, who also happens to speak perfect english. She told me that there was an accident, (japanese people informed me that this is very rare, But in the news there was this story about this guy getting hit by three bullet trains. How do you get hit by 3 trains?)

After the train ride, in which I found my way by shoving my tickets in japanese peoples faces to find out where to go, I made it to aaron’s and jennifer’s house. I quickly learned from them that the myth of the superior asian schools is just that a myth, students in japan seemed to be even more focused on test taking than chinese students.

I’ve got pictures and other stuff to say, but I’m not in a writing mood so I’ll leave it till later.

before I leave there is one thing i must add, Japan has the world beat in toilet technology.

This toilet has a heated seat, a bidet and ass dryer and some other crazy japanese shit that i don’t even want to know abot. Also note the faucet on the top of the toilet. When you flush the toilet the water used to refill the tank comes out here first allowing you to wash your hands. Brillant.
