Ridiculous bullshit from the newyork times.

It’s an article about a new book that claims, “Asian Orthography Curbs Creativity.” the basic point of this article is that asian writing systems block the creativity of asian people because the are not as abstract as alpabetical systems. (I’m not sure what “asian” means, the article only sites chinese, japanese and korean.) This is wrong on so many levels, but the main reason that it’s an absurdly stupid idea, is that there is zero evidence for it’s claims.

The article states “Mr. Hannas draws on a raft of data about Asian scientific research practices, technology piracy and graduate study abroad, all intended to show that Asians are brilliant imitators but poor innovators, adept at borrowing and improving on Western science but not so skilled at making advances themselves.”

From the articel it seems as if the “scientific research practices, technology piracy and graduate study abroad,” are taken from the last 100 years, but how long have the chinese been using Charecters?

About 5000 f’ing years.

And if we look at those five thousand years of charecter use, in how many of them are the Chinese the most technogically advanced people on earth?

about 4800.

I don’t undersand how these people get money. Stupid shit like this just pisses me off.
